This is a second book in a series but you can read it as a standalone. I got this book for free with no conditions for a review but to be honest, it's one that I would have eventually brought and felt it would be well worth paying for. It also made me realise that I haven't read the third book in the series so one more for my growing list!
This book is very meta! The main character has the same name as the other name that the author writes under. It also mentions the stories from the books she wrote in that series. The hero is a character from these other stories too. As I had read those stories first, it gave me an added level of enjoyment!
