The third book (and final) in the Riverbend series. It was great to finally read Gavin's story as his tragic back story had been hinted at in the other books in the series. I recommend the other two books in this series although I feel that this could be read as a standalone if you were so inclined.
I do recommend reading it because I think it's a great book - I've ordered it for my library. I think people are/have been married and have children will relate to it well. I found this one harder to get into than the others - Not because of the author or the writing - but because I didn't personally relate to the characters or what they'd been though having never been in those positions.
I got this in exchange for an honest review. Like all Denise Hunter books, it is definitely worth a read.
