The bachelor spy by Pepper Basham

I’ve read quite a few of Pepper Basham’s books, and she’s become one of those authors I automatically reach for. A Bachelor Spy reminded me why. The blend of espionage and romance is so engaging, but it is the characters that really make it work. The blend of espionage and romance is so engaging, and I really enjoyed seeing Stephen and <redacted due to spoiler>’s story develop while also seeing Freddie and Grace’s progression (I love them as characters).

There is a warmth to Basham’s writing that makes everything feel alive, especially the humor woven throughout. It balances the tension and adds so much charm. This was one of those books that just made me happy, and it is definitely a favorite of hers for me.

I receive complimentary books from various sources, including NetGalley, authors, and others. I am not required to write a positive review, and I have not received any compensation for my thoughts.
